MIB 2 (2015–2018) prefacelift MK7: Coding must be done via laptop using VW coding tools & software (5054 / VCDS, NOT included in the product, and we don’t provide laptop coding instruction); If you can’t code, you can control the light via Mobile App / SWC button / Rear View Mirror button
MIB 2.5 (2019–2020) facelift MK7.5: Coding can be done via laptop using VW coding tools & software (5054 / VCDS, NOT included in the product, and we don’t provide laptop coding instruction), or use our OBD cable(included) to do the coding; We will offer the OBD coding instruction when you install the light

What if OBD coding fails?

You will need a VW coding specialist for laptop coding. Otherwise, the system can still be controlled by the mirror button or app.
